The NRCGA has accepted the Common Ground Alliance’s 50 in 5 challenge to reduce damages to critical underground utilities by 50% in 5 years.

To kick off this initiative, the NRCGA’s November 28, 2023, membership meeting focused on generating damage prevention improvement ideas for the 50 in 5 initiative.

• Every stakeholder group had a seat (or TEAMS spot) at the table.
• Participants had the opportunity to openly voice ideas without fear of being dismissed or disputed.
• Participants ranked their ideas with their peers based on anticipated level of effort to implement and level of impact on damage prevention.
• These ideas will be utilized to drive our Strategic State Plan for 2024 and beyond.
